Happy September! It’s almost that time of year–crisp autumn air (wishful thinking but a girl can dream, LOL), apple cider and pumpkin spice everything (my sister sent me an ad for pumpkin spice face masks, truth!), and let’s not forget a few scary tales to get those Halloween vibes churning (and no, I’m not talking about the upcoming November election stories!). Bibiana and I are so excited for the upcoming release of Hearth Fires, The Haunted #1 on September 7th, we can’t wait for you to take a spin down the bizarre lane. Travel around the world with our scary tales, simmering with paranormal suspense (and a dash or two of Halloween wit ). There’s even some delicious recipes at the end to enjoy—curl up by the fire with your favorite culinary combo and spend a lovely evening reading. We’re very proud of this collection, and the spirits have already spoken, there will be a Hearth Fires, The Haunted #2, stay tuned!
We’re setting up the Halloween decorations this week–pumpkins, the witchy tree, spider lights–it’s going to be Spooktacular! I know, I know–its a bit early, but in 2020 the ‘normal’ rules seem to not matter that much, LOL. Here’s to a wonderful September, may it be filled with cool breezes, bursts of color and pumpkin spice everything! It’s Wednesday, time for #DearDiary:
I wanted to give a big shoutout to Morgan Wright (@byMorganWright) for the wonderful book displays⇑ and teasers⇓ she has put together for my books. I love the animated slides, they’re perfect for tweeting and posting on social media–you don’t have to worry about your covers being cutoff! I decided to go all out and include the music jingles that Gee Gee Music Pro put together for my animated covers–they set the mood for each story! Check out Morgan’s portfolio of offerings here:
New Double Trouble #BookReviews Are In!
It’s been a delightful week, made even more so by the fabulous 5 STAR book reviews received from a few #readers across the pond (thank you Sheila and Diogenes)! Book reviews make a writer’s world go round–you’re the best!
This is the fifth book in the series and i enjoyed this one even more than the others. The plush Royals are at it again, with Gemma heavily pregnant with twins, the castle renovations and the recovery of an skeleton on the grounds. … a wonderful combination for a murder mystery. Throw in the new Scottish nanny Figgy, fine dining, glamour and black ties, this really is a wonderful feel-good story. With wonderful, well developed characters, the loving Kyle, the ongoing filming of the TV series, this book has it all. Well written with a stiff upper lip and light-hearted, I highly recommend this series. Please check it out or add it to your list of must reads. Well done to this much talented author.
Five books into the ‘My American Almost-Royal Cousin’ series, and Veronica Cline-Barton shows no signs of flagging. The customary energy, wit and heartache which has been present in the first four books is still very much evident – so ‘heir’ we go again! The author remains faithful to her characters, and that is probably why we feel comfortable and engaged with them. On this outing, we delve into the past. Construction works have unearthed a skeleton at Cherrywood Hall, triggering a Cluedo-esque plotline – along with big helpings of scandal, skulduggery on a movie-shoot, general gossiping nosiness and, of course, lots of royal entitlement. (Plus, babies and pregnancy hormones on high alert: “It felt like the twins were doing jumping jacks on my bladder”.) Put your wits to the test, and be careful you don’t slip on the red herrings. “Beware of the dame.” Highly recommended for lovers of cosy mystery fun and regal splendour.
Ramblings of a twisted soul this week from the writers of Twitter…
Author John Dolan, Baking Bad: Notes from My Diary, 5 STARS
Let the satire and dark humor begin! Do you ever wonder what your neighbors are really thinking as they go into their house and dim the lights? My only wish is that the unnamed, neighboring diarist in Author Dolan’s Baking Bad doesn’t move in next door, LOL! Your worst nightmares just might become a reality…
We get the day by day, somewhat deranged account of life in the unhinged neighbor zone–a missing foot makes the rounds; the doggie next door…well, better leave that for you to read (eek!); find a date websites will never be the same; and party goers beware–it just might be a good time to abstain from the eats and drinks!
This diary of a mad man is filled with twisted laughs and giggles. It’s one of those ‘guilty pleasure’ reads that indulges you with dark humor, heinous acts and ‘no he did not’ moments as you snicker page after page. The author gives a WARNING: CONTAINS VIOLENCE AND SEXUAL REFERENCES, so reader beware. Baking Bad: Notes from My Diary, a highly recommended read!

I can't wait for Hearth Fires! The show today was fabulous--sorry I missed it live. I was taking my son to get a haircut for senior pictures. I'm hoping to be there live for the next one.
I just started The Innocents (Book 1) and I am LOVING it. I'm eager to read the other books in the series. Enjoy the rest of your week!
