Veronica's #WritersDiary, Breathe

"In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on." Robert Frost

And so it goes...I wanted to pause for those of us in the United States and remember for a just a moment, despite our differences, what a wonderful country it is we live in. We're going through situations none of us have experienced, at least not in my lifetime, and it has tainted the view of our nation by many. I'm not going to get political nor preach--we've all had enough. My wish today is that moving forward, the #faith, #hope and #optimism appropriate for this day and age takes seed.

Phrases and programs from past years are not going to cut it. If we are to grow in spirit and unity moving forward, we shouldn't focus on the past to sustain the environment in which we live today, and more importantly, where we need to #reboot to support growth for our nation in the future.

We've all learned some pretty tough life lessons in the past year+ of pandemic life. We've experienced changes on a mind-bending, global scale; some good, some rotten. The one lesson that hit home for me is that in the end, you are responsible for you. If you're not happy with your situation, now is the time to invest in yourself to make your life what you want it to be. It's never too late, but it is up to you--not the government, not anyone else, no secret sauce, just you. Deep breath.

"Whatever you are, be a good one." Abraham Lincoln

It's Wednesday, time for #DearDiary:

Light at the end of the tunnel...and then #editing...

Oh baby! What a fun month so far, finishing up this latest tale of intrigue! As in all the stories, twists, turns, heartache, #redherrings and mur-dah most foul...and don't forget the #cocktails🍸

February is the month of #editing. I'll be working with the fabulous Theresa Snyder and Word refiner Mark Schultz as we plow through the pages. It definitely takes a village and these professionals #rock!

There's something in the woods this week from the #Writers of Twitter...

Author Colin Powell, Never Let Them Kiss You, A Dark Fairy Tale, 5

For those who dwell in the cottage by the Little Wood, it's a peaceful life, until the whispers from the woods beckon the residents out. Lured by the sound of the magical voices, inhabitants and visitors alike are drawn deeper into the woods, the obsession to find what or who is behind the bewitching lilts...La la la. La la la.

Spritely kisses, flowers blooming through the snow--the faeries are on the move driving some mad and some determined to end their frolicsome quests. Wiccan spells and the resolve of love are in force--will it be enough to end the puckish progression?

Author Powell delivers a chilling winter tale that will keep you guessing and listening for the euphonious whispers. A delightful, eerie read, highly recommended!

Next up in the #reading queue:

We're Taking a Break Today in Honor of Inauguration Day!

I'll be on deck next week, January 27th talking all things books! See you soon...

Welcome to my world. Be well, keep safe--enjoy your week. Have a fabulous #weekend friends!

Crowns and Kisses,

Veronica
