Happy May! From wine country to the northern California shore--part deux of our escape from the family room road trip took us to Half Moon Bay. We stayed at the fabulous Ritz Carlton that sits regally on the cliffs of this NorCal paradise. I have to say this was one of the most beautiful places on our journey. We were blessed with sunshine during the day and magnificent sunsets in the evening.
The Ritz is surrounded with breathtaking views, including a stunning golf course and walking path with lots of chairs just waiting for you to take a seat and enjoy the rhythmic waves. After being cooped up for so long it was magnificent to be outside with the fresh air and sunshine. The sound of the waves hitting the cliffside was mesmerizing. You could feel any angst you might have had slowly, slip away.
We weren't golfing this trip but the course here is stunning!

5⭐I absolutely love this series--and this last installment does not disappoint! The author does an incredible job of describing scenery, clothing, and emotions of the characters. I always feel like I'm in the room with them when it all goes down! Who doesn't love a Scottish Nanny with 'the sight', a 'glammie' who is (literally) a drama queen, and Sir Kyle and Lady Gemma caught up in drama, intrigue and murder while trying to house hunt in London. The characters are just so vivid that I Feel like I've known them for years. What a fun spring romp for anyone who loves a cozy British mystery. Time for you to settle in, and tuck into a few scones while sipping your Earl Grey as you read Playtime at Castlewood Manor!
5⭐I just finished this amazing work by this awesome writer. It’s full of suspense, mystery and made me feel like I was there witnessing it all. I encourage everyone who loves a little intrigue mixed with a little mischief to read this, you won’t be disappointed. I would read with a hot cup of tea and couldn’t put it down. A superb masterful tale 💛📖
5⭐Book 6 in the Almost American Cousin series and it's even more fun and cosy with babies!
Follow Lady Gemma and Kyle from their holiday in Bermuda to house shopping in the posh parts of London, along with the Scottish nanny Figgy. There are still accidents and murders along the way with the usual who dunnit theme. Well written and enjoyable. For fans of cosy mystery please check out this series from this very talented writer.
